Step by step

+ Window

Click + Window to start a new line. It opens as a DRAFT with your project defaults already filled in.

Qty, Elevation and Location

Set Qty, then Elevation (which side of the house) and Location (the room). Installers use these to find the opening.

Install

Install starts from your defaults. Change it only if this opening is installed differently.

Style / Shape

Common styles: CAS Casement, AWN Awning, SST Single Slider, DST Double Slider, SHT Single Hung, DHT Double Hung, F125/F150 Picture, BSL Basement Slider.

TIP — Styles under Not ENERGY STAR certified may not qualify for rebates. Check the energy readout and never promise a rebate the app doesn't show.

Width (in) × Height (in)

Type whole inches only — the box accepts digits, no fractions. Under the size you see the Weather Seal limits for that style.

TIP — Enter inches exactly as on the measure sheet.

Hinge or slide direction

For a Casement, pick the hinge side. For a Single Slider, pick the Slide direction.

WATCH OUT — Wrong hinge side = wrong window arrives. Check it against the measure sheet.

Live price

The grey box on the right shows the price as you change things: Base, Paint, Accessories and × qty.

✓ Add to Quote

The line joins the quote only when you press ✓ Add to Quote. Cancel throws the draft away.

WATCH OUT — A draft outside the size limits cannot be added — fix the size first.

Edit, Copy, Remove

Click a line header to open it and 💾 Save Line to close it. ⧉ Copy duplicates the line; Remove deletes it (Undo appears briefly).

Size limits

A new line outside the limits is blocked. An older saved line only warns, but it still blocks the contract until fixed.

TIP — Basement Slider is double-pane only — triple glass is not offered on it.

Energy readout

Under the style you see the NRCan rating for that style and glass. Chapter 13 explains it.
