Step by step

New customer

Your turn — click New customer to open the form. Nothing is saved until you press Save customer.

Name

Type a first name or a last name — at least one is required.

Company (optional)

Only fill this in for business customers.

Phone

A real phone OR a valid email is required. Fake numbers like (000) 000 0000 are rejected.

TIP — The phone formats itself as you type.

Email

Add the email if you have it. As you type a phone, email or street, the app checks for existing customers.

WATCH OUT — If a Possible duplicate box appears, click Review. Your own customer: choose Open existing. Assigned to another rep: contact the office.

Alternate phone (optional)

A second number, for example a spouse or work phone.

Preferred contact time (optional)

When the customer likes to be called, for example Weekdays 9am–5pm.

Billing address

Street, city and postal code of the customer's billing address.

Province (required)

Pick the province. It decides the tax and the legal terms on the contract.

WATCH OUT — Tax follows the JOB SITE province. If the install is somewhere else, set the job site below.

Job site same as billing

Leave it ticked if the windows go into the billing address. Untick it to add a different install address.

Lead source (optional)

How the customer found us: referral, Google, home show and so on.

Notes (optional)

Anything the next person should know, like gate codes or best parking.

Save customer

When you press Save customer, the card is created and opens. The tour will not press it for you.

TIP — An email-only customer can be saved, but the calculator needs a real phone before it can save a quote.
WATCH OUT — Never create a second card for someone who already has one.
