Start a quote from the customer card

Open the calculator from the right card and get a map of the calculator.

New quote

On the customer card, click New quote. The calculator opens with this customer already filled in.

TIP — Starting here keeps every quote on the right card.

Pick the job site

If the customer has more than one job site, the app asks which one this quote is for. Pick the right one — it sets the tax.

Main quote and Alternatives

The first quote on a card becomes the Main quote. Later quotes are Alternatives — Chapter 12 explains them.

Step 1 · Customer & Region

The customer's details and job site province. When you start from the card, this is filled in for you.

WATCH OUT — For a real customer, don't start from a blank calculator — the quote could end up on the wrong card.

Step 1 · Project Defaults

Install code, colours, glass and packages for the whole job. You must confirm these before adding windows. Chapter 5.

Step 2 · Line Items

Here you add windows, combos and patio doors. Chapters 6 to 8.

Step 3 · Discounts

Offers, discount levels and the deposit. Chapters 10 and 11.

Step 4 · Balance

The totals, tax and the document buttons. Chapter 14.

Save Quote

Save Quote stores the quote on the customer's card. The tour never presses it for you.
