Step by step

What defaults are

Defaults are the choices every NEW line starts with. Set them once per house: fewer mistakes, faster quoting.

Step 1 ยท Project Defaults

Here you pick Install Code, Ext Color, Int Color and the Window / Combo Cell Accessories (glass, grilles, trim and more).

TIP โ€” Patio Door Options appear here too once the quote has a patio door.

๐Ÿ’พ Save Defaults

Press ๐Ÿ’พ Save Defaults when the choices are right. The badge turns from REQUIRED to โœ“ CONFIRMED.

WATCH OUT โ€” Step 2 ยท Line Items stays hidden until you save defaults โ€” that forces the house choices first.

One line can be different

Open a line and change its colour or options. The line header shows matches defaults, or overrides: N โ€” the number of options that differ from the defaults.

TIP โ€” Reset to defaults on an open line puts it back to the house choices.

Changing defaults later

Click Edit Defaults, change something and save. If lines exist, a box asks: Apply changes to existing lines?

Apply changes to existing lines?

Lines still on the OLD default are ticked for you. Use Select all, Only lines on old default or None to change the ticks.

TIP โ€” Sizes, styles and grilles stay as they are โ€” only the changed option is applied.

Apply or Skip

Apply to selected lines updates the ticked lines. Skip โ€” new lines only keeps old lines as they are.

TIP โ€” Changed your mind? Press Undo in the message at the bottom within about 15 seconds.

Watch the SIZE badge

A new glass can push a line over the maker's size limit. That line turns red with SIZE โ€” fix before contract.

WATCH OUT โ€” Fix every red SIZE line before you generate the contract โ€” the app will refuse otherwise.
