E-signature, quote lock and handing the sale to the office
Send for signature, what the lock means, and what the office does next.
Step by step
✍️ Send for Customer Signature
It saves the quote and creates a signing link, copied to your clipboard. Paste it into your email or text to the customer.
The customer signs
The customer opens the link, reads the contract and signs on screen. No app or account is needed.
Signature status
The signatures box on the quote shows the status. Use Copy link to resend, Revoke to cancel, and Download signed PDF once signed.
The office takes over
The office is emailed when a contract is signed. They check the job and assign a PO number.
Locked
With a PO the quote is locked: line items, options and discounts are frozen. Trying to edit shows Quote is locked — create a Change Order to make changes.
Create Change Order
Click Create Change Order and type the reason. The new revision keeps the original frozen discounts.
After the PO
The office moves the job into the company job system (the automatic send is off today). You never re-enter the job.
